History of CLUB 43: CLUB 43 was started in 2008 by Club 43 Director, Annie-Adamczak-Glavan, a NCAA All-American at Nebraska and former professional player. Through Annie's leadership and dedication, CLUB 43 offers student-athletes the highest level of volleyball instruction in the Midwest. She instills in her coaching staff and in her student-athletes the drive and desire to always Play with a Purpose!
CLUB 43 Mission: Our mission is to develop great volleyball players in a competitive, fun, environment both in training and play. We want all of our players to love the game and instill in them that hard work, dedication, and competition is what pushes them to greatness.
CLUB 43 Philosophy: Our philosophy is to place the best players on the highest team in their age group. Playing time is not equal and the more skilled players who follow the club rules will play more than their teammates. Our players and parents are investing a lot of money and time in our club and it is the club's responsibility to provide our players with quality coaching, training, facilities and management. We want all of our teams to be competitive and win. However, winning and losing are the variables but the drive to compete at the highest level is our standard.
Our coaching staff at CLUB 43 is evolving every season. This is our fourth year and our coaching staff's skill and knowledge has jumped two fold. We ask all of our coaches to challenge their players every day in practice and insist on their best effort. Our coaches will not tolerate bad attitudes, tardiness, lack of hustle or the desire to compete. Whenever they step on the court we expect our student-athletes to Play with a Purpose!
U11 through U17 Teams will begin practices at the end of November and play through the first week of May. However, our U151, U161 and U171 teams will extend the season until mid June to play in the AAU Nationals in Orlando. All of our teams will play in 9-12 local play dates and tournaments. Our 1st teams will play a more competitive schedule than our 2nd teams. Our 1st teams will compete in the January Thaw, the President's Day Festival, the Wisconsin Dells Tournament, and the Rochester Cup. Our second teams will play in the President's Day Festival, the Wisconsin Dells Tournament and the NCR Area Event. Practices will be held at the 43 Hoops Basketball Academy running 1-1/2 hours long twice a week. Additional positional practices will be conducted by Annie every other week, before or after team practices, throughout the season. The U14 through U17 teams will also receive 2 half-hour plyometric training sessions, before or after their team practices, at the 43 Hoops Basketball Academy
